Here at your Kentucky Ford dealership, we know the cars and trucks we sell have great appeal for local drivers – that’s why they keep selling! But thanks to J.D. Power, we now know that some of them have outstanding APEAL as well! In July, the results of the 2015 J.D. Power Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout (APEAL) Study were released, and Ford models topped in three different segments.

The J.D. Power APEAL study is aimed at determining how gratifying new cars and trucks are to drive and to own. This APEAL factor is determined based on owner evaluations of 77 different attributes. The results of these evaluations are measured on a 1000-point scale for an overall APEAL Index score. Ford overall has improved their score by 9 points this year, leading to a 798 brand score. And of course, in addition to the overall brand score, Ford also boasts three segment winners in this year’s study. In the 2015 J.D. Power APEAL Study, the 2015 Ford C-MAX, the 2015 Ford Expedition, and the all-new 2015 Ford F-150 all topped in their respective categories. For the 2015 Ford C-MAX, this was the Compact Multi-Purpose Vehicle segment, while for the 2015 Ford Expedition, it was the Large SUV segment. And of course, it comes as no surprise that the recently overhauled and best-yet version of a beloved Ford truck, the 2015 Ford F-150, received the highest score in the LightDuty Pickup category.

Appeal and APEAL score may not always be the same, but they come together perfectly in these Ford vehicles. Come by our lot today to find out what has new owners so happy with their vehicles, whether they are a compact multi-use car, a powerful SUV, or a tough Ford truck. Lawrenceburg, Frankfort, and Louisville drivers can find appeal and APEAL in one great package in the new Ford inventory at O’Brien Ford of Shelbyville.
