Car manufacturers have been making an effort to go green for a while now. With hard work and innovation, they are proving that driving doesn’t have to harm the environment the way we think it will, and demonstrating that environmental friendliness doesn’t have to be at odds with a comfortable and enjoyable drive experience. Ford automakers in particular have been using their skill and innovation to bring green technology into all their vehicles, as well as creating groundbreaking hybrid vehicles. And lately, their hard work has been getting recognized!
Recently, beloved car buying guide Kelley Blue Book and trusted road advisors AAA have both honored Ford vehicles for their green technology. KBB.com has released their 2015 list of 10 Best Green Cars, and for the third year in a row, the Ford C-MAX line has made the list. With the Ford C-MAX Hybrid and Ford C-MAX Energi both utilizing the automaker’s innovative power-split technology, they can operate at higher speeds than other hybrids, even in electric mode. This means that they can work without harmful fuel emissions, even for drivers looking to add some speed and excitement to their drive. Meanwhile, the AAA Green Car Guide for 2015 shows that even trucks can go green! This year’s guide features the 2015 Ford F-150 as the year’s greenest truck, thanks to its available EcoBoost engine, auto star-stop, lightweight materials, and excellent EPA-estimated fuel efficiency.
