Winter is long past, but as anyone who lives in New England could tell you, it was a winter that won’t be forgotten for a long time.  After the deluge of snow, ice, and cold that the region suffered this yer, the New England Motor Press Association (NEMPA) choice of the Official Winter Vehicle of New England had a lot riding on it.  So this year, more than any other, it means a lot to hear that NEMPA has selected the 2015 Ford F-150 as the Winter Vehicle of New England!

Of course, the 2015 Ford F-150 excels in every season and all weather.  The newly redesigned truck boasts 700 pounds less in weight than previous versions, a massive towing capacity of up to 1,100 more pounds than before, and the power to haul as much as 530 more pounds than earlier models.  But NEMPA did their work carefully, and the winter-specific capabilities of the 2015 Ford F-150 stood out after rounds of testing.  NEMPA voters took some time to make their decision, driving contenders from almost every vehicle manufacturer over the course of several months.  They looked for features that would specifically help in a winter setting, but also took into consideration the overall drive experience in a model, no matter the weather.  In the end, the 2015 Ford F-150 rose to the top, thanks to its power, cutting-edge technology, and of course, ability to help out drivers in a tough winter!

It’s never too early to start thinking about the next few seasons, and even for those of us who don’t have to face the harshness of the New England winter, the 2015 Ford F-150 has a lot to offer drivers everywhere.  So stop by O’Brien Ford of Shelbyville today and check out this remarkable Ford truck.
