If you’ve been reading this blog, you’ve probably heard us talk about things like how the advanced technology in the 2017 Ford F-150 makes it the smartest version of the truck ever, or the advanced safety features in family vehicles like the 2017 Ford Escape, or all the Ford models that come with the available SYNC3 system that can keep drivers connected and entertained. Today we thought we’d go a little more in-depth about some of these elements. Continue Reading
When editors from the car-buying website Edmunds.com sat down to select the Most Wanted cars from 2016, there was a lot to consider. Editors had to weigh their own opinions about their favorites with the models that car buyers loved in order to choose the best and most desired vehicles on the market. But how to even determine which cars that buyers were choosing? Editors analyzed data from 10 months of 2016, looking at driver consideration on the Edmunds.com website, along with sales, days spent in dealership inventory before being sold, and more. Then editors contributed their own rankings, averaged everything out, and finally, the “most wanted” cars of the last year were selected. Continue Reading

When drivers go searching for a truck, there are a few key elements to finding the perfect vehicle. Of course, power and toughness are critical, as are hauling and towing capacity. But as it turns out, truck buyers are looking for more than just the ability to do tough jobs—they are also looking for the ability to do their work in comfort. And that’s where the 2017 Ford F-Series Super Duty comes into play. Continue Reading
It’s no secret that the 2017 Ford Focus boasts a powerful, efficient engine under the hood. After all, the Ford Focus has contributed directly to the rise in sales of Ford performance vehicles, even while overall sales of performance vehicles have fallen. And it takes an impressive engine to take a car from a daily commute vehicle to an exciting performance car and back again, but the 2017 Ford Focus can do just that. And we’re not the only ones to take note of the Ford model and its engine—the editors at WardsAuto were so impressed that they named the 2.3-liter EcoBoost I-4 engine to their 2017 list of the 10 Best Engines.
Last month, Ford made a big announcement in a unique way. In the first Snapchat vehicle reveal the world has ever seen, the automaker introduced the all-new Ford EcoSport. The unusual introduction was a great teaser for all the ways the Ford EcoSport will stand out from the rest of the SUV market when it arrives in early 2018. The Ford EcoSport promises a vehicle that will be versatile, fun, highly capable, and as the name implies, feature an outstanding EcoBoost engine. But, of course, most of those qualities could describe any Ford truck, car, or SUV, so what makes the EcoSport really stand out? Continue Reading
It’s not even the new year yet, and already the 2017 Ford F-150 is garnering awards, accolades, and titles. Kelley Blue Book recently announced the results of a year of testing and expert evaluation of almost every new vehicle in the country. After analyzing everything from pricing and customer satisfaction, 5-Year Costs to Own, model quality, and more, they were ready to announce the Kelley Blue Book Best Buy Awards for the coming year. And here at your Shelbyville Ford dealership, we weren’t in the least surprised to hear that for the third year in a row, the 2017 Ford F-150 was named the “Best Buy” in the trucks category.
Here at your Louisville area Ford dealership, we tend to get excited about the new Ford vehicles coming onto the market. But we also know that for many drivers in Shelbyville, used Ford cars are a much better option than new. Luckily, we’ve got you covered there as well! There are a variety of reasons a used Ford truck or car might be a better choice for you. For starters, you won’t have to worry about that instant depreciation when you drive off the lot – used cars don’t lose much value just because they’re going to a new home. And, of course, there are the cost savings. There’s no denying that a used Ford truck will run you less than a brand new 2017 Ford F-150. This gives you a chance to get a great car that you might not be able to afford new.
With the holidays coming up and all of the traveling and gift expenses that come with them, it’s easy to worry about your budget. Last month, the Texas Auto Writers Association (TAWA) announced the results of their 23rd annual Texas Truck Rodeo. You don’t have to live in Texas to appreciate that the Truck Rodeo is one of the toughest auto competitions around. The TAWA Truck Rodeo features two days of competition for most of the trucks on the market that year. This year, more than 70 TAWA journalists gathered to steer the trucks through a variety of on- and off-road courses and determined which were the best across a range of categories. When it came to the top category, the answer was clear: the Ford Super Duty, for the 13th time in its history, was honored with the prestigious Truck of Texas award. Continue Reading
